 Day 8
In your own space, talk about setting yourself a fannish goal. Big or small, it doesn't matter. Some examples: complete a bingo, sign up for a Big Bang, write that fic you've been thinking about for years, podfic that story that you love, make a fanmix for your fandom, post that bit of meta or reclist you keep putting off. Maybe resolve to be better at leaving feedback or answering comments. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

1. Finish all the podfics I started in 2012 BEFORE I record anything new. It's easy for me to lose motivation with a podfic if I can't remember the character voices, plot, ect. because its been sitting on my hard drive for months. Also facing down hours of unedited podfic is scary. /o\

2. Get involved with more challenges/big bangs/communities. I think this will motivate my fannish activity and I find deadlines really helpful to get things done.

3. Branch out into other fandoms. A lot of people seem to be doing this at the moment and I think it's finally time to be rid of my fear of leaving or not devoting all my attention to a fandom. I don't think I would LEAVE bandom since I've been in it for years and it was my first fandom, but I would definitely like to record some BBC Sherlock podfic and maybe make some art.

4. Don't let fandom life overshadow my real life goals. This year, as you'll know if you read my Day 7 post (and thank you so much for all the support), I have enrolled in a two-year illustration course. It's my first form of tertiary education - I left secondary college/high school last year - and it feels like the first real step I've taken towards becoming an illustrator. I need to throw myself into this course, so that means no procrastinating by recording podfic/drawing fanart/reading fic/listening to podfic. /o\

I hope I actually stick to these goals! I've got a good feeling about this year, though. :D
